The irony is, that I recently took up another 45day Free Trial with Winzip, with the intention of taking up a subscription at the end of it. From that time onwards, I could not open any Zipped Files as I kept getting Error messages In reading this Tutorial I discover to my pleasure, that the Vista system has a pre-installed Zip File system, although mine had 'gone bush', probably at the time that I uninstalled Winzip. That said, an early experience with a Winzip Free Trial, left me totally confused as it seemed to me that Winzip had taken over and swamped my entire File System.īecause I couldn't fully understand the nuances of the Winzip system and its management, I uninstalled the whole thing, and did not take up a subscription with them at that time.
